Directions from the south
Leave the M6 at junction 36, then at the motorway roundabout take the 1st exit onto the A591 (signposted Kendal, Barrow). Continue on the A591 (signposted Windermere, then Ambleside) for approximately 18 miles passing Staveley, Ings and Windermere turn offs on the way.
On the outskirts of Ambleside, bear left at traffic lights onto Borrans Road – A5095 (signposted Coniston A593). Then turn left onto the A593 (signposted Coniston). Keep in the left hand lane then bear left over a small bridge (signposted Coniston). Continue on the A593 (signposted Coniston, Langdale) for approximately 5 miles passing Skelwith Bridge on the way.
When entering the outskirts of Coniston take the first left sign posted “Hawkeshead”. Proceed along this road for approximately 300m. Turn left at the T junction and head towards Hawkeshead. The road will pass Boon Crag Farm on the left and the gradually start to climb. The property is on the right hand side. There is a dedicated off road parking space for 2-3 cars.
