Cumbria hit by floods - all our cottages remain fully operational

Posted on 07 December 2015

The UK record for rainfall was broken over the weekend when Honister (near Buttermere in the Lake District) saw a record breaking 341mm (13.5 inches) of rain in 24 hours falling onto already saturated ground. Kendal, Keswich and Carlisle have experienced flooding but the Ambleside area, where all are cottages are located, has been less badly effected. We’ve inspected all our cottages and they are all fully operational. Come and stay and support the hard hit tourist industry!
